MY CHOCOLATE BROTHER
It was right after lunchtime and Dad was so busy chasing down baby that he made a mistake. One that Mom would never make. He told both of us, "If you eat any more chocolate, you'll turn into chocolate." Not bright, Dad. Mom would have simply taken the chocolate away.
My little brother didn't realize what Dad meant was no more chocolate. But what can you expect from a five-year old? When you get to my age, you can tell better what parents mean when they say confusing things, but five-year old boys hear only what they want to hear. Or so Mom says.
So my little brother did just what Dad didn't want him to. He took another chocolate bar, a big one, from the snack bin, opened it and took a huge bite. I figured he'd get into trouble, but I never figured he'd turn into chocolate.
Which is what he did. I know it was chocolate, because I took a little bite from his ear. Just to make sure.
"Dad?!" I hollered. "Dad?"
Dad yelled back, from somewhere upstairs, "I'm changing baby, can you please deal with whatever it is yourself?"
He was always having me deal with stuff myself, since I was the oldest. Like cleaning up spills. Or making sure my little brother has both his shoes and socks on. Or making Ritz peanut butter and jelly cracker sandwiches for lunch and pouring glasses of milk. But I had never had to deal with a chocolate little brother before.
I looked at my brother. He was completely chocolate, even his clothes. And he wasn't moving. He had this huge smile on his face and a half-eaten chocolate bar in one of his hands. I wondered if he was really made out of chocolate.
I sort of knocked on him gently, to see if he was hollow inside like those cheap Easter Bunnies. He wasn't. He was solid chocolate. If he were an Easter bunny, he'd be the biggest one we had ever gotten.
I wondered how he tasted. That's when I had the little nibble I mentioned earlier. From his ear. Just a tiny bite. He tasted just like chocolate. Good chocolate. If I hadn't had tons of chocolate already, I would probably have eaten more. But I did snap off some of his shirtsleeve and put it in the refrigerator, to save some for later, and to make sure it didn't melt.
Melt! My little brother is going to melt! I knew I had to do something fast, but what?
I ran to the bottom of the stairs and called up, "Dad?!"
He said back, sort of tired sounding and testy, "Can't you please take care of it yourself?" He was obviously having some trouble with baby. Maybe she ran off without a diaper or wouldn't let him put on her shirt. She does that.
Well, if I had to handle this by myself, I would. Here's what I did.....
In my opinion... first step that I will take is find something to cover my chocolate brother like sawdust so my brother not meltung.. After that I will persuade my father to forgive my little brother and take back his word.. And if that still not working I will find other ways to help my brother

ReplyDeleteI closed the door and open the aircond as low as it can. I yelled for dad but he keeps making me deal with it myself. I took a pail and put lots of ice in it. I put the pail infront of the aircond and i drag my brother and put him in the pail of ice. Since he's small it isnt such a big deal. This is the funny part that i did i moved my refrigerator near my brother and plug it on. I open the door as wide as i can to make sure the cold wind gets to my brother. But my brother turns into chocolate couldnt beat any jokes right now. I try to search on the web of breaking spells but i couldnt. Until i came across a website saying the only way to break up a spell is making the person who cast the spell take back his words. So i keep on yelling for dad and as he went down he was in gasp. I told him about the spell and he cried while hugging my brother and his tears where all over my brother. Suddenly all the chocolate melted and a live boy was behind the melted chocolate finally he's back. ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I would blast the air conditioner to full in my room and place my little brother there for the time being. Then, I would close the windows and doors to avoid flies, ants and any small creatures from feasting on my younger brother. After that, I would have to undo what caused him to turn into chocolate in the first place, which was my father's words. ReplyDeleteI love my brother! Although I love to eat chocolate,I never eat my brother. I will take him near the refrigerator to make sure he do not melt.The lower temperature can make him a life and give me more time to figure about it.Then I will open the air conditioner in my room with the lowest temperature.For a while, I will make sure he do not drink a water because water can make he melt more faster.I also will close all the windows in the house to prevent the heat from the son effect my brother.So I think my brother now safe and I will wait for dad to came and see it.I will tell my father about the incident and force my father to say "I forgive you" to my brother.I think this method will change my brother back become a normal human in this world.(farisA1T2a)

I will persuade my farher to forgive my brother and try to turn him back as a normal person like before because i love my brother too much. At the same time, i will run upstairs and drag my dad into that room to make sure he sees that his words really makes my brother turns into chocolate ! ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, first of all, i will advice my brother not to over eating the chocolate. I will make some horror stories about the chocolate, so he will afraid of eating chocolate. Next, i will ensure that he is in the comfortable zone, where is in the lowest temperature. I would like to put him in the room fully-filled with ice around. So he would not melt if he freeze. I also will protect him from the sun or hot weather. To avoid him from melting. Besides, father should not easily spell his own son. He should be tolerate to his son because his son is just five years old child that do not know exactly what does the father said. The father should be mature and should not take this problem serious, because his son is just under age.
ReplyDeleteI like this story because it contain hidden message that teach us that we should always listen to what our parents said and do not disobey them.But, there are also things that i disagree in this story which is the father's attitude.To me , no matter how busy he is , he should at least go to his kid when he called him instead of letting his kid solving the problem by his own .
ReplyDeleteIf I in that situation,I will hide the chocolate from my brother.Then,if my brother found it and then he eats then he also will become a chocolate.The first thing I do when he become a chocolate,I will switch on the air conditioner and do everything to cool my house and put he in a few hours.After that,I will try hard to make sure my father came to us and looked what happen to my brother and my father cab help us to solve this problem in order to save my beloved brother.

The little brother reminded me about my neighbour.If I in that situation, I will bring him to dad and asked dad to watch out of what he said. However, parent can't be accused. They have their reason why they said that.

He even bite his little brother's ear just to make sure if his brother has turned into chocolate. In my opinion these two brothers are so cute and innocent and that makes me more sad. I really hope that he managed to find the best solution in order to save his little brother. This story kind of teaches me something meaningful. i"ll took a fast action.I went to the kitchen and took out all the things from the refrigerator.luckily the snack bin was near to the kitchen.so it makes my job easir,first things first,i"ll try to pick up my little brother and put him into the babie's stroller but failed.Then i carefully hauled him to the refrigerator,worried he might broken into a piece and it success.I was relief.The refrigerator fitted him as he was so small.After that,i closed the refrigerator and ras as fast as deer to get my father.I told him about my little brother,but he was busy as bees playing a video games.He told me to control my voice because the baby was sleeping and could bring trouble to him if she is awake.I went to the kitchen back and finger cross that all is well.Out of the blue,i saw my little brother playing with his toys in the dinning room.I 'm on top of the world and could'nt say nothing.My little brother was back to the normal.I went to the snack bin and put all the chocolate bar into a plastic bag and throw it at the dustbin in my backyard.From that day i hated chocolate and always listen to my father.

But when he came downstair, he was totally shocked. I then told him everyting that happenend earlier when my brother take a bite of the chocolate which was still in my brother's hand. My father cried and he said he take back what he said before. Starting from that time, we never buy chocolate again and my father never said words that he did not meant ever again.

ReplyDeleteI like the story because it's remained me about another story rhat i had read in my childhood .The flow of the story . Just same with this story about a son turned into a chocolate. In that story, at the end the person who turned into the chocolate finally turned back into normal because his brothers persuaded thier father to forgive his eldest brother and he promised after that to hear all his father ask him to do . The moral value, it make both of them being a good person one day . That all .

Then i will keep on calling for my father until he is annoyed and he have to come to see what was going on. And if that doesn't work, I'll carry my little brother to my father quickly and ask him to apologise to my father for what he has done

ReplyDeleteHere's what i did. I have got to think wisely and fast because time will not stop running. My brother is soon will melt. Most people would go for fridge to stop the thawing but that is a big no-no. A chocolate addict like me know better on how to store chocolate. To prevent my brother from turning into liquid of mouth-watering food, I will go to the kitchen and search in the cabinets for airtight container. Namely, tupperware. I am sure Mom did not keep containers in high places, it would be hard to look for in rush hour. However, no human being could fit in such small space. Therefore I need to look for bigger container. Every kitchen must have rice bin (i dont know the correct name for this, do forgive me) right? My brother is small in size, he would definitely fit in the bin. I do not have to worry about necessity of oxygen for him because, tell me, what kind of chocolate breath? There's none. After that i would go and get Father. Placing him inside the container could buy me some time to explain to my father on how on earth did my brother accidentally turn into chocolate. Father is an adult, he probably know better on how to lift the spell. He would not want his child to remain as sweet. At this rate, Father will surely get furious as why I keep asking for him. When he get downstairs he would feel terrified to see my brother in such an uxplainable situation. I have got to prepare myself to be asked millions of questions. But Father only have to do one thing; break down the spell and turn my brother to human back.
ReplyDeleteThis story remind me to my childhood life. I always ate chocolate when i was 5. My mom also reminded me not to eat chocolate too much because it was a bad lifestyle. In my opinion, we shouldn't take too much chocolate in a day because it can damage our healthy. We can get healthy problem such as diabetes. It is because, chocolate is too sweet. If you are the chocolate lovers, you can eat a bar of chocolate but the chocolate must contain less sugar and not too sweet. Nowadays , people should think to produce more chocolate that not sweet ,so everybody can eat it as much as they want. In a nut shell , this story is very interesting and very enjoyable to all reader whether they are young or old. The method that the father use in this story can be use by the other parents that have child which is love to eat chocolate. So that, their children will be scared and don't eat chocolate anymore.

But everything happened must have its intention and purpose. Suddenly, the power supply was cut off. The fridge wasn't cooling anymore. All the ice were melted so do my little brother which changing from a chocolate bar into a smooth chocolate drizzle. I was panicked and run for a bucket of ice at the nereast store. By the time I was arrived, I was shook and gasped because my precious little brother was gone, not even a drop of chocolate was found. Then, I heard our pet, Miss Kitty jump off from our kitchen cabinet. Miss Kitty was licked her mouth the same way she did when she done with her meal. I was yelled for my dad, but my dad was already stood up being me with a sorrow face looking downwards. His voice is coming out but I can't hear the exact words he tried to say. I came nearer and all I heard "everything in this world have its and this is the price for disobey parents'rules". I collapsed.
ReplyDeleteMy alarm was ringing right beside my ears. I was quickly get up from my bed wash my face and searched for my little brother. After ran off up and down the double terrace house, I found him. He was trying to grab the chocolate inside the snack bin. I called him and froze for a second and look at me dazed. I told him the story of my dream precisely. After the story unfold, he was crying and hugged me instant. He said he's afraid of being a chocolate and been eaten by Miss Kitty. He looked for my dad and seek for forgiveness and promise him to be a good son and listen to him attentively and follow the house rule.
I watched the scenario and slightly smiling. Deep in my heart, I was thought "indeed everything happened must have a reason. If only I didn't dream about it my little brother probably will stay stubborn and breaking my dad's rule"

This story is quite ridiculous but still conveys some important messages. As we see in the story, the writer have to save his brother immediately and he is keep asking his father to help, but his father ignored his request.Sometimes we do think someone's problem is not our business and we choose to isolate or refuse to help them. But how if the problem is fatal to others? We could simply lost our friends or family if we are being selfish to help.We should not be cold-blooded in helping others. Helping others guarantee a good relationship among our friends and family members, or even we can make more friends.

I like this story because it has hidden message from our parents to keep their child in the pink of health by prohibited their child from eating chocolate anymore or they will turned into chocolate. If I in this situation, I would hide all the chocolate from my brother to prevent him from eating it and give him another type of scrumptious food to eat, so I can save my brother's life and he will stay as a human and do not turn into chocolate.
ReplyDeleteThis story reminds me about how deep my parents and siblings love me. I am the youngest child in my family. To be honest, I was a quite mischief child and I made a lot of mistakes. For example, I played in the living room although my mother had told me not do to so, and I broke the vase in the living room. I knew the vase was very precious to my mother. I thought my mother would scold me badly,but she didn't. The first word from her after she knew what I had done was:'Are u alright?'Then, she started to clean up the mess that I made.

If I were that girl, I will quickly run to a nearest store to buy some ice. After that, I will put my chocolate brother to a box full of ice so he will not melt. Then, I'm going to ask my father to fogive my brother's mistake so he will turn into a normal kid back. From this story, I learn that we should listen to our parent's advices so there will be nothing bad will come to us. ReplyDeleteThis story reminds me that I was naughty when I was young. When I was young,I don't listen to my parents' advice and I do whatever I want but it always bring a negative effect. Next, this story also recalls back my childhood memory with my siblings. For example, we ate those unhealthy junk food secretly which my mom stops us when my mom not around. If I am that elder brother in the story, I would turn on the air conditioner to prevent my chocolate brother from melting and hide my brother inside a cabinet.

If the power shut down, I'll try my best to get some ice for making sure my brother didn't melt.This story give us a moral value that wo should listen to what parent say even you think that is not going to happen,it might happen.For example,everybody will not trust that a person who over eat chocolate will become a huge chocolate but it still happen in the story. ReplyDeleteThis story is very related with myself because i'm chocolate lover actually..for your information, chocolate makes me feel release when i'm so stress.. That's doesn't mean I eat chocolate every day.. It will damage my healthy of course.. I just eat it when I'm really really stress out. For me, chocolate just like a therapy for myself to stay calm,cool and relax.. Even my family also didn't asked me to just leave this habits. If i were on this situation ,firstly i will think a Best way to prevent myself from being melt.. And the Best way i think was keep myself far away from hottest place... And keep myself in a coolest room or coolest place such as refrigerator, under the air cond.. And the last I will beg for a forgiveness from my father so that he will take back his words.and back to the real of me. Even thought I love chocolate very much, I willing to leave my habits and just move on with a new habits or favourite..
ReplyDeleteim wondering the reasons why his father doesnt let the children to eat the chocolates . as we know , the chocolates are very common for the children and it also can give more benefits such as the people can release their stress by eating the chocolates and it also can give us the energy . but at the positive vibes ,i think maybe his father doesn't let the children to eat the chocolates because of the people's mindset that chocolates can make fat or damaged tooth , however, last year i read the newspaper , there was someone from Jerman and she is 5+ years old but first impression for her from the people around that she is 3+ years old and one of her tips to stay looks beautiful and gorgeous by eating the chocolates everyday . :) btw, i love the chocolates !
ReplyDeleteI love this story. Even though, I feel little scared as I think at the end of the story, the sister will eat her own flesh and blood(I hope I am not the only one that think of that). This story reminds me a lot about myself when I was a kid. I always being reminded to be a responsible sister to my siblings. As the eldest, it is my responsibility to take care of my little brother and sister if my parents were busy. I am proud of parents who taught their children to be independent. As a child, we have to obey our parents in everything they say. It is because they face many challenges and obstacles to provide their children with needs.

The writer is a responsible person because he take care of his brother. He also obey of his father . This story teach me on how to dealing with problem without getting any help from other and try to handle proplems . ReplyDeleteBased on the story, it's clearly told us as reader that eating chocolate not good for our health. Parents really strict about this matter. So, we should take the lesson of this story which is do not always take chocolate as daily routine. It is because it will effected us in future. If I had to handle the situation above, I will kept on freezing him and make sure he did not melt. I will also persuade the father to forgive him and I will make sure he promised not eat chocolate again.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, i like how the outhor put the hidden message that we can use for our daily life for example we must obedient to our parents. The brother must repent to make sure we don't repeat the same mistake. The brother should get the simple punishment that can make him realise he make a mistake and he must make sure that bananas do not bear fruit twice.
